Interviewing Özlem Albayrak, Software Engineer Research and Development Manager at Teknopar (TEK)
The strength of a European project such as AI-PRISM is the interdisciplinary and transversal working approach of a group of 25 entities plus an affiliated one. Social sciences and humanities permeate the innovative ecosystem to provide the most robust and complete solution to manufacturing environments where tasks are challenging to automate, and speed and versatility are essential.
To commemorate International Women’s Day, we are interviewing the women behind the team working on the most social approach of the project. Today we have our last guest Özlem Albayrak, Software Engineer Research and Development Manager at Teknopar (TEK), interested in Social Science and Humanities associated with “user involvement and satisfaction” and “technology acceptance and use”.
Find below what she has told us about her experience and profession as a woman working on Horizon Europe projects such as AI-PRISM.
What is your role at AI-PRISM?
Hello, my name is Özlem, and I am a team leader researcher.
What makes you proud of working in AI-PRISM?
The purpose and the expected impact to be generated by the project make me very proud.
How can we attract more women to work in Horizon EU projects such as AI-PRISM?
Three important initiatives to attract women. First, by analysing and disseminating positive contributions of women who already worked in and contributed to Horizon EU projects, both men and women may be motivated to increase more women working in such projects. The second is by awarding successful women working for Horizon EU projects. And finally, why not inform women-related/ (focused) associations/organisations about Horizon EU projects and their positive outputs?
Özlem, thank you for being with us!
