Digital Manufacturing Industrial Summit 2023: AI-PRISM will hold a workshop and participate actively in the forum

From the 25th to the 27th of April, the Digital Manufacturing Industrial Summit 2023 (DMIS2023) will be in Valencia, Spain. DMIS2023 aims to provide a networking conference to answer the questions about what the industry 4.0, 5.0, and “Made in Europe” key concepts framing the European manufacturing landscape mean in practices and how they are shaping the present and the future of it. The summit will link industry, technology, and research together, exploring the latest interpretations of concepts and understanding how others have already benefited.

Experts in the sector will cover various digital manufacturing topics, including zero defects and data quality; digital platforms and marketplaces; robotics and AI; and sustainability and resilience. In addition, participants who have something to present or have future-looking topics can register to attend and contact dmis2023@consulgal.pt to receive a template which will be forwarded to session organisers.

Panellists will address challenges for further unlocking the digital age and moving from Industry 4.0 to 5.0 whilst working for a greener and more efficient industry, among others related to expectations of digital quality, approaches, manufacturing data spaces’ role, ethical AI impact, the progress of digital platforms in Europe, blockchain technologies and Twin green and digital transition in practice.

DMIS2023 will be the ideal forum to join industry users, technology partners, academics, researchers and policymakers in a unique cross-cutting discussion and networking for free. Furthermore, exhibits from research and industry supported by research and innovation cooperation mechanisms, such as our European project AI-PRISM funded under the Horizon Europe Programme, will be present.

At the forum, AI-PRISM will hold the workshop “Robotics in Manufacturing”, chaired by NTT Data, with the participation of UPV, KEBA and TAU, on 25th of April at 10:40 AM CET. The purpose of the session will be to discuss the role of collaborative robots in the manufacturing process.

Moreover, partners of AI-PRISM will showcase the project in other workshops at the summit. Cranfield University (CRAN) will participate in the “Human-centric Future Factories” seminar, explaining the AI-PRISM social approach. The Technological Institute of Informatics (ITI) will be at the “Manufacturing Reconfiguration and Flexibility” workshop with Penelope, DIMOFAC, AIDEAS and SINTEF European projects.
