As the AI-PRISM project moves towards its final stages, key partners gathered in Linz for an important round of testing and integration at KEBA Industrial Automation. Representatives from ICIA, Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV), NTT DATA Romania (NTTD-RO) and PROFACTOR collaborated on-site to assess the performance of AI-driven solutions developed for this industrial pilot.
Among the core features under evaluation were a people-following capability enabling an Autonomous Mobile Robot (AMR) from Robotnik Automation to autonomously follow a human operator on the factory floor, and a voice control interface designed to support more natural and efficient human-machine interaction. These innovations are part of AI-PRISM’s broader objective to develop human-centred AI technologies for smart manufacturing environments.
While testing confirmed the potential of these solutions, it also highlighted real-world integration challenges. The team is now focused on refining performance and ensuring the robustness of these features in dynamic industrial settings. This marks another significant step in AI-PRISM’s mission to deliver intelligent, adaptable systems that support safer and more collaborative workspaces.
