In 2023, the AI-PRISM partners actively contributed to the international scientific community through high-level conference presentations and peer-reviewed journal publications. These contributions reflect the project’s commitment not only to technological development, but also to rigorous research, knowledge exchange and responsible innovation in AI, robotics and human-centred systems.
AI-PRISM research was presented at leading international venues, including the Applied Human Factors and Ergonomics Conference 2023, the International Conference on Robot Ethics and Standards 2023, and the IEEE Conference on Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition 2023, where FBK showcased work in computer vision and AI through a poster presentation. These forums enabled dialogue on topics ranging from human–automation collaboration and workforce sustainability to ethical robotics and advanced perception systems.
In parallel, AI-PRISM partners published in respected scientific journals such as Image and Vision Computing and IEEE Access, addressing cutting-edge challenges in AI and intelligent systems. Topics included 3D point cloud understanding (PatchMixer), novel class discovery for semantic segmentation, 6D object pose estimation, scalable LoRaWAN configurations, and human-centric questions such as determining optimal levels of automation and fostering multilingual user engagement in manufacturing environments.
