The European Robotics Forum 2024 held in Rimini, Italy, proved to be an exceptional platform for showcasing the groundbreaking contributions of AI-PRISM. Amidst a backdrop of innovation and collaboration, AI-PRISM made significant strides, leaving a lasting impression on attendees and industry experts alike.
One of the highlights of AI-PRISM’s participation was the organization of two workshops: “Human-robot Collaboration and AI – Hype or Reality?” and “Robotics & AI: Transforming Sustainable Recycling & Remanufacturing.” The first one was co-organized by 6 EU-funded projects: AI-PRISM, COGNIMAN, CONVERGING, FELICE, FLUENTLY, and SOPRANO, and attracted a total of 60 participants, fostering engaging discussions and deepening insights into the integration of AI and robotics across various domains.
Additionally, AI-PRISM hosted two insight sessions, providing attendees with invaluable glimpses into the project’s innovative endeavors. An invited talk by Francisco Fraile from Universitat Politècnica de València further enriched the forum, shedding light on AI-PRISM’s groundbreaking research and developments.
One of the most notable achievements at the forum was the recognition received by The Vigo Pilot in AI-PRISM. This pilot project was honored with the Sustainability Recognition at the official ERF 2024 award ceremony, a testament to AI-PRISM’s commitment to sustainability and innovation. The certificate was awarded by Topic Group coordinators Sharath Akkaladevi from PROFACTOR GmbH and Franziska Kirstein from BLUE OCEAN ROBOTICS, in the presence of 600 participants. A heartfelt expression of gratitude goes out to Tomasz Kołcon and his esteemed colleagues at Łukasiewicz – PIAP, Iveta Eimontaite and her dedicated team at Cranfield University, and Krystian Goławski along with the entire VIGO Photonics team, including their colleagues, for their exceptional efforts and commitment to the success of the VIGO pilot.
In addition to these accomplishments, AI-PRISM showcased a total of five papers at ERF, further solidifying its position as a key project in the robotics and AI landscape. With a total of 1100 registrations, AI-PRISM garnered significant attention and sparked numerous discussions, underscoring its visibility and impact at the event.
As AI-PRISM continues to push the boundaries of innovation and collaboration, its presence at ERF 2024 serves as a testament to the project’s dedication to advancing the field of robotics and AI. With its pioneering initiatives and commitment to sustainability, AI-PRISM is poised to shape the future of technology and usher in a new era of possibilities.
Overall, the European Robotics Forum 2024 proved to be a resounding success for AI-PRISM, reaffirming its position as a leader in the field and setting the stage for continued advancements in robotics and AI.
